Erfurt (dpa/th) - The CDU parliamentary group has called on red-red-green to quickly change the police task law in order to solve the procurement problems with the introduction of body cameras for the Thuringian police. The largest opposition group reacted on Wednesday to the Interior Ministry's assessment that there were delays in equipping the police with the small body cameras.
Bodycams are cameras that police officers wear on their uniforms. With them, what happens in front of the officers can be recorded in image and sound. The use of this technology has been discussed in Thuringia for years.
