Groß Breitenbach / Gotha (dpa / th) - A driver left the road on the country road from Ahlfeld to Groß Breitenbach (Ilm district) and died of his injuries. As the police in Gotha announced on Thursday, the 51-year-old drove straight ahead into the ditch on the winding road at the level of a substation in a right-hand bend for reasons that are still unclear. The car overturned several times. The man, who was apparently not wearing a seat belt, was thrown about ten feet from the car. He died at the scene of the accident from the serious injuries he sustained. Firefighters, ambulances and rescue helicopters were deployed. The car was totaled. The amount of damage was given as around 10,000 euros.
