Erfurt (dpa/th) - The parliamentary group of the FDP has called for a commission of inquiry to deal with past corona policy. The FDP group said on Friday in Erfurt that it was essential to “review the corona policy” in order to be able to “manage future crises more confidently than before”. "The pandemic was accompanied by far-reaching encroachments on fundamental rights that had never existed in this form in the Federal Republic," said FDP group spokesman Thomas Kemmerich.
It is not the task of one of the commissions of inquiry to pillory individual leaders. "Rather, it should review the political decisions of the past three years in such a way that our country is better prepared for future crises," said Kemmerich.
