Thuringia: fire in an apartment building in Ilmenau: five injured

Ilmenau (dpa/th) - Five people were slightly injured in a fire in an apartment building in Ilmenau in the Ilm district. 14 residents were brought to safety on Sunday evening, the police said on Monday. The fire broke out in the basement of the house. The cause is unclear. The property damage is estimated at 50,000 euros. After the fire brigade extinguished the fire, the residents were able to return to their apartments.
