Thuringia: Icy temperatures in Thuringia

Erfurt (dpa/th) - In Thuringia, the temperatures dropped to icy regions on Thursday night. It was coldest at minus 14 degrees in Olbersleben (district of Sömma), as the German Weather Service announced on Thursday. In Bad Berka (Weimarer Land district) and Mühlhausen (Unstrut-Hainich district), the temperatures dropped to minus 12 degrees each. According to the DWD, it was the coldest night this winter in Thuringia. It is expected to remain frosty for the next few days. On Monday there will be a slight reduction, but there is a risk of ice and severe weather due to freezing rain.
