Thuringia: jostling among drivers in Leinefelde-Worbis

Leinefelde-Worbis (dpa/th) - Two drivers first accosted each other in Leinefelde-Worbis and then bumped into body damage. The police spoke on Saturday of an "unusual accident" that occurred on Friday evening in the northern Thuringian city.

First, a 41-year-old driver stopped due to traffic - but in the middle of the lane. Apparently that didn't sit well with an oncoming motorist. After an unfriendly exchange of words with the windows down, the 34-year-old driver initially drove off, according to the police, but then reversed his vehicle. Both cars collided and there was body damage.

When the accident was recorded, the police officers measured the 41-year-old's breath alcohol level of over 1.7 per mille. He had to temporarily surrender his driver's license.
