Thuringia: Man seriously injures his wife when entering the garage

Kannawurf (dpa/th) - A 76-year-old man seriously injured his wife when entering the garage at home in the Sömmerda district. The 73-year-old woman who was hit by her husband's car had to be taken to the hospital, police said on Thursday. After the accident, which occurred on Wednesday in the village of Kannawurf near Kölleda, a rescue helicopter was also deployed. The man was in shock and also needed medical attention. According to the police, the material damage to the car was low at 1,500 euros.
