Sonneberg (dpa/th) - Due to numerous sick employees, the trains on the RE 19 Sonneberg - Bamberg - Nuremberg line of the Franken-Thüringen-Express will be canceled next weekend. Deutsche Bahn announced on Thursday that the RE 49 line, which runs largely in parallel, can be used between Sonneberg, Bamberg and Coburg. However, longer travel times must be expected here.
Between Nuremberg and Bamberg, travelers can switch to the regional trains of the remaining hourly RE trains of the Franken-Thüringen-Express and also the S-Bahn. However, a ride cannot be guaranteed due to the overall reduced capacity, it said. Travelers were asked to inform themselves in the information systems of the railways before starting their journey.
