Thuringia: The struggle for special assets in Thuringia continues

Erfurt (dpa/th) - In the struggle for aid payments from the state in the energy crisis, representatives of red-red-green continue to believe that they can agree with the CDU on setting up a special fund. "We bear responsibility and want to live up to this responsibility, there is no room for party bickering," said the leader of the Green parliamentary group, Astrid Rothe-Beinlich, on Wednesday in Erfurt of the German Press Agency. Her parliamentary group is ready to talk to the CDU about their proposal to increase the state's planned special fund to a total of 400 million euros.

Red-Red-Green and the CDU have been negotiating for weeks on how the state's Corona special fund can be rededicated so that the remaining funds can be used to pay for aid measures in the energy crisis. However, time is of the essence. The establishment of the special fund is to be decided on this Friday in the state parliament.
