Jena (dpa/th) - A 25-year-old driver crashed his car into a lantern in Jena and was slightly injured. As the police announced on Sunday, the man came off the street on Saturday morning in Stadtrodaer Straße because of microsleep. The car then hit a traffic light and then a lamppost. The 25-year-old received medical treatment at the scene of the accident.
According to the information, both the traffic light and the lantern were completely destroyed, the damage to property amounts to 15,000 euros. The 25-year-old's car was totaled, the damage to property is around 40,000 euros.
