Erfurt (dpa/th) - A pedestrian was hit by a tram in Erfurt and got under the railcar. The 21-year-old was slightly injured on Sunday evening, the police said on Monday. According to the information, the young woman overlooked the approaching tram when she wanted to cross the tracks at a stop.
The driver drew attention to the tram with signals. Despite emergency braking, the woman was hit, pushed onto the track bed and caught again. She got half under the train, but was not run over. The police spoke of a guardian angel that the 21-year-old had in her luggage. She was taken to a clinic for observation.
