The fashion magazine "Vogue" has given in after the controversy over the cover photo that showed the new US Vice President Kamala Harris. The magazine announced a limited edition February issue featuring a photo of Harris in a formal pose wearing a blue pantsuit.

To "celebrate this historic moment," a limited edition will be released on Inauguration Day, Vogue said on Twitter. She also posted the image that, according to consistent media reports, was originally chosen by Harris' team as the cover image.

On the first published cover, Harris was seen standing casually in a blazer and sneakers in front of a pink and green background. Numerous users in the social networks had found the recording of the 56-year-old to be disrespectful or technically inferior and therefore inappropriate for the title portrait of the most powerful woman in the country. Vogue said the editors chose the more informal photo because it emphasized Harris' authentic and approachable character.
