Companies These are the countries with the most paid vacation days in the world

The number of vacation days is one of the key points that many people have when choosing a job. This depends on the flexibility of the companies and, above all, on the legislation of each country, which is what determines the minimum number of paid days that a worker can enjoy.

Thus, the Resume.io platform has classified 197 countries based on the number of paid vacation days that are stipulated by law.

In the list, which is dominated by African and Eastern countries, the state with the highest number of rest days is Iran, with 53. These are divided between paid summer days (27) and paid holidays ( 26) that correspond to celebrations related to religion and events for the Islamic Revolution. Rounding out the top 10 are San Marino (46 days), Yemen (45 days). Andorra (44 days), Bhutan (44 days), Bahrain (44 days), Togo (43 days), Niger (43 days), Madagascar (43 days) and Monaco (42 days).

In Spain you enjoy a total of 36 days of vacation: 14 days allowed by the contracting company and 22 corresponding to holidays. These may increase according to the collective agreement of each profession, but it can never be less than 30 calendar days.

The United States appears in last position in the ranking, as a country in which there are no paid vacations and there are 10 paid holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. This data makes the American country the only developed country without paid legal permits.

Other countries that do not exceed 20 days of paid vacation are: Canada, Mexico, India, Lebanon, Thailand, China, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Nigeria.
