"We're beyond thankful for your daring leadership," Garcetti said of this few, including that the $5 million will help 1,000 of those"hardest-hit" companies in each area of the country's second-largest city.
The mayor stated every one the companies that could be helped happen to be on a wait list that continues to rise as funds have dried up while the city waits for national aid.
Garcetti said the couple had donated $500,000 to the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles, which supports small enterprises and families that were struggling, in the start of the pandemic.
The small business licenses, he stated, have meant that the difference between"gearing up and pushing ."
"I am pleased to declare that 1,000 of our city's hardest-hit companies will emerge that waiting list and be helped today and be in a position to bridge this instant to live and shortly yes to flourish once more," Garcetti told reporters duign the news conference. "Thank you, both Willow and Bob along with your whole household to your generosity of realizing the significance of small companies and standing up to assist 1,000 companies in each area of L.A."
