Energy: Strong jump in sales at Vattenfall

In the first half of the year, the Swedish energy supplier Vattenfall turned over significantly more than in the same period of the previous year, mainly due to persistently high electricity prices. Sales rose by 34 percent to 107.8 billion Swedish crowns (around 10.3 billion euros), as the group announced on Friday in Stockholm. The bottom line was a profit of almost 10.3 billion crowns - in the first half of 2021 it was more than twice as high, benefiting from the compensation for the early German nuclear phase-out.
