Politics Ayuso does not see Villacís on the PP lists: "The best of Ciudadanos has already come with me"

He has not closed the door completely, but he has made it clear that he does not open it wide, precisely. Isabel Díaz Ayuso wanted to put down the soufflé of the possible signing of Begoña Villacís by the PP, assuring that it would not be an incorporation of bells. "The best of Ciudadanos already came with me in the last elections, and now if they have conversations at the national level I have nothing to say there," she said, at her entrance to the National Executive Committee of the PP.

He was referring to the information advanced exclusively by EL MUNDO about the meeting of the general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, and the deputy mayor of Madrid. Both met on Monday afternoon in a cafeteria near the national headquarters of the popular. In said meeting, Bendodo told Villacís that, although Genoa wanted to incorporate her, he had to talk to the PP in Madrid, which had the last word.

Well, Villacís has not called José Luis Martínez-Almeida or, above all, Ayuso, who chairs the regional apparatus of the popular. "The union of the center-right in Madrid has been underway for many years," he wanted to clarify.

Does Ayuso then close the door to Villacís definitively? "The conversations that have taken place I fully respect but they escape me, I don't know them," Ayuso insisted, again referring to the information in this newspaper. "I cannot comment on the decisions that the party makes at the national level and the incorporations that it makes," he added, insinuating that Villacís would go to the national PP and not to Madrid. Questioned about it, she has stood up: "I have nothing to say."

Later, sources from the PP in Madrid have assured that Ayuso has to elect 2,500 positions for the municipal and regional elections, and that among them there could be members of Cs, but that each case would have to be seen, especially in the municipal field where the popular they understand that "the person is valued more than the brand". "There could be incorporations that can contribute to us," say regional sources. But, other sources insist, ultimately, those interested would have to discuss it with her. "If it depends on her...", they have left in the air.

Continuing in the line of the president, her number two and political battering ram, Enrique Ossorio, has also strictly closed the door on the deputy mayor in the PP of Madrid. "From the regional party we do not consider this incorporation, honestly," the regional vice president has settled, adding that these meetings are "at the national level." "I imagine that they are talking about an incorporation at a national level, but we have not foreseen it", he concluded.

Logically, the name of Villacís also echoed insistently in the Palacio de Cibeles from early in the morning. After the presentation of the Municipal Emergency Territorial Plan of the City Council (PEMAM), José Luis Martínez-Almeida had to speak on the matter: "I do not have any additional information regarding the vice mayor. As the national leadership has indicated, the lists will be decided at the time in the territories". From that popular municipal environment they maintain that the first step to be able to assess the option is that she herself would have contacted the councilor, something that has not occurred. And, also, despite the movements from Genoa, which is the PP of Madrid, and it is Almeida, who will have the last word to assess the decision.

"I have no news or knowledge of any intention of the deputy mayor and, on the other hand, the lists will be made up at the time with the PP of the Community of Madrid together with me as a candidate", pointed out Almeida, who insisted: "I do not know anything regarding the eventual intentions of the deputy mayor". The reality is that, right now, the figure of Villacís has no place in the popular group of the Community of Madrid. Nor in the capital. Another very different thing, looking at the latest matches, is what they think from Calle Génova.
