Television Who is Miguel Gálvez and why is he replacing Marron in El Hormiguero

Pablo Motos announced at the beginning of El Hormiguero on Tuesday, February 21, before receiving Lorena Castell, that Marron was not going to be on the program. "Today Miguel Gálvez will join science," he said, presenting his substitute. Viewers got a glimpse of the new collaborator, who often appears on set to help out during experiments.

The host of the Antena 3 space explained the reason for this change: "Today at 1:00 p.m. Marron has called and said 'yeah, I'm going there'". He was referring to the fact that he was about to become a father: "He is in the hospital, his girl is dilating."

The Valencian pointed out that the usual collaborator of the format is going to take parental leave, so they needed someone to cover his position: "And who can replace Marron these days? Well, a scientist, Gálvez, who is the one who most he gets nervous of everyone."

The presenter asked him how he was and he replied: "Good, nervous." Motos wanted to know: "From zero to ten?" The new head of the science section said: "A 15 and a half at least."

Miguel Gálvez appeared again on the set of El Hormiguero after the interview with Lorena Castell and said that he is a telecommunications technical engineer: "I don't look like it." The man from Almeria is also a DJ, electronic music producer and a big fan of motorcycles, as shown on his Instagram account.

The driver of the format asked him: "How was your day today?" He replied: "Fatal, but with an applause from the public it goes away." He later related how Marron had informed him that he and his wife were already in the hospital. "Warm up, you're going out," wrote his partner. In addition, he admitted that nerves had taken their toll: "From 1:00 p.m. to here I have already shit four times ... What a day I have had."

The new collaborator showed in his first solo experiment what happens in an eye when receiving a drop of eye drops. Pablo Motos was in charge of taking it on and the result was recorded in detail thanks to a super slow camera.

For the second experiment of the night, the program team had prepared a structure to launch 20 jugs into the air, like rockets, using methanol. However, there were a couple that did not shoot, which gave rise to Castell and Motos joking with Gálvez.
