During a patrol in the Gulf of Thailand, the electronics of a military ship fail - the HTMS Sukhothai capsizes. Some of the sailors escape in rubber boats, and the search is still on for 31 others.

After a shipwreck in the Gulf of Thailand, 31 sailors are still missing. Thai Navy frigates and helicopters searched the water for crew members of the Thai Navy's HTMS Sukhothai, which sunk overnight off the southeast coast of Thailand.

As the Royal Thai Navy (KTM) announced, 75 people have already been rescued from the water. According to the information, the military ship capsized late Sunday evening (local time) during a patrol about 37 kilometers off the Thai coast.

Some of the sailors saved themselves by jumping into inflatable boats. According to Navy spokesman Admiral Pogkrong Montradpalin, the ship sank after the electronics on board were damaged.

According to the Navy, two helicopters, two frigates and an amphibious ship were involved in the search. In the past few days, there have been storms and floods in several regions of Thailand.
