Killed wife: Man tries to dispose of body in refrigerator

In the south of France, a murder case comes to light in an unusual way. A woman's body is found in a refrigerator, which the alleged killer is trying to get rid of. However, the friends assigned to do this become suspicious.

It sounds like a friendly service that you could quickly take on: Two men in southern France are supposed to dispose of the old refrigerator for a friend. Usually you have to think about the weight and size of the device. In this case, however, the remaining content was problematic.

When the men wanted to take the fridge to the rubbish dump, a woman's body was found in the appliance. The police then arrested the owner of the refrigerator on suspicion of murder. According to prosecutors, two men wanted to remove the fridge at their friend's request. The refrigerator was locked with a padlock. Upon delivery, however, the men noticed a strong odor emanating from the refrigerator.

When asked, the owner said he killed a dog and put it in the device. That was partly true, but it wasn't all. After breaking open the lock, the two friends discovered the woman's body in addition to a dog fur and informed their lawyer. An investigation was initiated against the refrigerator owner and he was taken into custody.

The body is believed to be the wife of the 32-year-old, according to the Grasse public prosecutor. The victim has not yet been officially identified, "but the findings drawn from the examination and the examination of the corpse indicate that it is the wife of the detainee," said the public prosecutor. Further analyzes are underway to establish the identity beyond doubt. According to the medical examiner, the woman died from a gunshot wound.

Police found loaded weapons and drugs at the suspect's home. They also discovered the body of another puppy in a freezer. The man had previously been in custody for animal cruelty.
