According to the British BBC, during the performance of the boy band "Mirror", a screen several square meters in size hanging above the stage fell down and first hit dancers before it fell on other people. Videos of the incident are circulating on social media.

Two dancers were hospitalized, reports the BBC, citing the police and local press. One of them is in critical condition in intensive care after suffering a neck injury, according to the South China Morning Post. The condition of the other is described as stable. Several visitors to the concert were treated for shock.

According to the BBC, the concert was canceled after the accident and the tour was temporarily suspended. The local authorities now want to investigate the incident, the first reports speak of a damaged steel cable for the canvas suspension.

The boy band formed as part of a TV talent show in 2018 and has a dozen members. Their music falls into the Cantonese Popular Music (Cantopop) genre, a style popular in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia. The "Mirror" members are said to be among the most well-known celebrities in Hong Kong.
