In late summer 2022, a popular ARD format will be back with more episodes: 16 new episodes of the 35th season of "Großstadtrevier" will start on September 5th, as the first announces. The episodes then run as usual on Mondays at 6:50 p.m. That's what the viewers can expect in Hamburg's Kiez.

It is with a heavy heart that the Hamburg police station 14 says goodbye to colleague Nina Sieveking (Wanda Perdelwitz, 38). With her partner Lukas Petersen (Patrick Abozen, 37), episode 482 embarks on an emotional journey again. District chief Küppers (Saskia Fischer, 56) is now looking for a successor. However, she is not allowed to choose her favourite, but has to choose the one she considers least suitable when announced from above. The choice falls on Bente Hinrichs, played by Sinha Melina Gierke (33), who can be seen from episode 483.

In addition, Ms. Küppers will meet her mother (Nicole Heesters, 85) again in the new episodes and surprise her colleagues with unusual actions. The Jan-Fedder-Promenade at the port of Hamburg will also feature in the season. "Großstadtrevier" star Fedder (1955-2019) died on December 30, 2019 at the age of 64. He became famous for his portrayal of policeman Dirk Matthies.

Bente Hinrichs from Dithmarschen is assigned to Petersen as a partner. At first he is not enthusiastic about his colleague, after all he also mourns the loss of Nina. He thinks Hinrichs is a country bumpkin, but is later impressed by her. Things get hairy right from the start: Hinrichs has to go to the neighborhood with Petersen for the first investigations.

"What I like most about Bente is that she says what she thinks directly and doesn't keep quiet about it," says actress Sinha Melina Gierke in an interview with the broadcaster. "I really enjoy playing scenes where she just speaks her mind, whether it's her boss, her colleagues, or a witness, a suspect, standing in front of her."

The actress had already met a few colleagues at the casting, and Gierke had previously explained that she felt welcome. In addition, the native Berliner loves the city of Hamburg. "I'm very fond of the Hamburg dialect, it always sounds likeable, it makes my heart soar."

As the broadcaster announced in April, it continued straight after filming season 35. So work began on twelve episodes of the 36th season.
