Although the Cleveland Browns lost to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12, they used the bye to adjust and will host their AFC North counterparts in a rematch this Sunday. After Pittsburgh's win in the fourth quarter, the Ravens are now in a weakened position. They won 20-19 last week. They'll now face the Browns team seeking revenge on Sunday. Anthony Everett, the replacement for Marcus Peters, should be able play this week. However, he has been limited in practice due to a knee injury.
This would normally be good news for Baker Mayfield, Browns quarterback. However, Mayfield has been suffering from a series of injuries this season which has resulted in inconsistent production. Mayfield finished Week 12 with 247 passing yards, but Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb combined had only 15 carries for just 36 yards. In their two games against Baltimore, Mayfield and Hunt averaged 123 yards per match as a tandem. However, the Ravens allowed 859 rushing yards to opposing runningbacks in 2021, which is the fourth-lowest in the NFL.
SportsLine's model predicts Chubb and Hunt will find their groove this week after the bye, and record 129 combined yards of rushing at home. This should propel the Browns to their seventh win of the season. However, Baltimore will keep the game within a point in just over half of simulations.
