The classics are over, and the Giro d'Italia arrived in Verona last Sunday. On Tuesday, the UCI updated their world ranking.
Stade Bianche, Tirreno-Adriatico and Stade Bianche were the winners of the Tour of the United Arab Emirates. 4th in the Tour of Flanders, 5th in Milan-San Remo, Tadej Paogacar (UAE Emirates), is still the number one world ranking with 5281 points. Wout van Aert (Jumbo–Visma 3562 pts, Primoz Roglic (3450) are still in contention starting Sunday at the Crietrium de Dauphine.
Jai Hindley is the one who has made the biggest comeback. His success in Italy helped the Australian win his first Giro. He has since risen to 102 positions.
Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl), is still the first Frenchman (8188 pts), while Benoit Cosnefroy, an adopted Savoyard (AG2R Citroen), was 2nd in last Amstel Gold Race, by a few millimeters. He now ranks 12th (1854 1854 pts).
The Dutch Annemiek Van Vleuten, (Movistar), retains her first place (4141 point), while Juliette Labous (DSM), first French (1305 points) is 13th. The Iseroise through adoption Evita Muzic (FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine) gains a spot and is placed 31st (865 pts).
