Wetter (dpa/lnw) - A nine-year-old boy is said to have been killed by his own mother in Wetter (Ennepe-Ruhr district). Police officers found the lifeless boy and the 42-year-old woman, who was seriously injured, in an apartment, police and prosecutors said on Friday. She is considered an urgent suspect and was arrested.
According to the first investigations, it cannot be ruled out that she seriously injured herself, it said. Exact backgrounds are still unclear. Police and rescue workers were called to the apartment building on Friday morning. The woman was taken to a hospital for her serious injuries.
