Health expands 72 hours the validity of the PCRs to enter Spain

The General Directorate of Public Health has expanded 72 hours the period of validity of the PCR diagnostic tests to detect the Coronavirus and 48 that of the antigen tests necessary to access Spain, according to the resolution of the Ministry of Health published by Tuesday. Official State Bulletin (BOE).

In this way, the resolution of July 4, 2021 relating to sanitary controls to be carried out at the points of entry to Spain to control the sanitary emergency derived from the COVID-19, which accepted the certificates of PCR and test tests as valid of antigens with a negative result issued 48 hours before arrival.

Admitted diagnostic tests will now be those of molecular nucleic acid extension (NAAT), whose sample has been obtained within 72 hours prior to the arrival in Spain and the antigen tests included in the Common List of the European Commission, provided that 48 hours are realized before the trip.

The diagnostic test certificate must include the following information: name and last name of the holder, date of the sample, test type and issuing country.

This resolution of the General Directorate of Public Health, dependent on the Ministry of Health, will come into force tomorrow, July 14.
