The Civil Guard investigates in Badajoz a Portuguese citizen who drove a truck in a reckless way and refused to perform alcohol and drug tests. He is challenged a crime against road safety, according to the Civil Guard itself in a statement.
The performance took place on Sunday 18, coinciding with the second operation of this summer, the operational center of the Traffic Group in Badajoz received warning of users of the A-66 highway informing about the reckless conduct with which a truck circulated Articulated merchandise transport by Municipal Terms Pacensians, invading both the bus and both circulation rails.
After this, a device was established for the location of the vehicle, being intercepted as a step through the municipal term of Source of Cantos.
Once its driver is identified, a Portuguese citizen, the agents observed in their obvious behavior symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol or toxic drugs, so it was required to undergo legally established tests, refusing this to be carried out.
Before the aforementioned events and attention to the external symptoms so obvious that the driver of the truck presented and that affected the psychophysical faculties necessary for safe driving, the agents instructed diligences as investigated by the alleged crimes against road safety, when driving A motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or toxic drugs and the refusal to be subjected to the checking of alcohol rates and presence of drugs.
The driver faces prison sentences from three to six months, a fine from six to twelve months or work for the benefit of the community from 31 to 90 days. And in any case he will not be able to drive motor vehicles and cyclomotors in a period of one to four years.
The action was carried out by agents belonging to the group of trafficking of the civil guard of the subsector of Badajoz, who delivered the corresponding proceedings in the Court of Instruction of Zafra.
