Ends August and the figures of the Covid-19 in Spain continue to fall. The incidence has fallen on Tuesday to 233,75 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (nine points less than Monday), and healing has notified 7,767 new infections in the last 24 hours (2.305 less than those that were reported seven days ago).
The positive evolution of the rhythm of contagion is closely related to the accelerated decrease in cases among young people. In the group between 12 and 19, the IA indicator has collapsed in the last seven days, lowering 178 points and standing at 461.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Between 20 and 29 years the transmission has also fallen considerably (180 points in a week), standing at 337.84.
By autonomies, the most affected are Ceuta (464.36 of IA), Extremadura (463.82), La Rioja (312.58) and Basque Country (302.05). On the other hand, Asturias (94.03), Canary Islands (144.76), Valencian Community (183.67) and Catalonia (190.98) maintain the most positive incidence data in the country.
Likewise, the pressure in hospitals decreases. This Tuesday are entered by Coronavirus in national territory 6,806 people, 308 less than yesterday. The percentage of global occupation, then, then, to 5.80%. In the intensive care units (UCI) the trend is similar: in them the occupation descends up to 17.39%, with 79 serious ill less than yesterday (a total of 1,571).
Communities with the most saturated UCIs are still Catalonia (32.29%), Madrid (31.15%), Aragon (21.82%) and Balearic Islands (21.51%). On the opposite side, the most relaxed are Asturias (7.05%), Murcia (7.07%), Galicia (7.74%) and Andalusia (10.06%). But we must always remember that these figures only correspond to the occupation of beds by patients Covid. To calculate the total occupation, those patients who are entered by other pathologies and surgeries must be addressed.
Mortality, however, has increased (albeit slightly). 194 deaths have been reported, when last Tuesday were 190. And they are already, according to the statistics of the ministry, a total of 84,340 people who have lost their lives in Spain because of the virus from the beginning of the pandemic.
In Europe, United Kingdom (693.6), Ireland (510.3), Switzerland (483.7) and France (402.0) are countries with the highest. The best located countries are Poland (7,7), Czech Republic (25.1), Ukraine (44.3) Romania (46,6) and Sweden (129,7).
