Animals: Double outbreak of a python: Veterinary Office determined

After the double outbreak of a python in Hanover, the veterinary office is investigating against the 21-year-old owner. The authority is checking the attitude and circumstances of the escape attempts, said a police spokeswoman on Thursday. The animal rescue service of the fire brigade was last deployed twice within a good two weeks to capture the yellow-patterned snake in the Stöcken district. The "Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung" (HAZ/Thursday) initially reported on the results of the investigation.

"The snake is currently in a sanctuary for reptiles and is not currently being handed over to the owner," said the police spokeswoman. The experts at the shelter had previously confirmed that the non-venomous python was one and the same animal. It is now being checked how the return came about and how the animal was then able to meander away again.
