Baden-Württemberg: After the use of pepper spray in the festival hall: girls are suspects

Kappel-Grafenhausen (dpa/lsw) - After the police cleared a festival hall in Kappel-Grafenhausen (Ortenaukreis) on Rosenmontag because of a suspected use of pepper spray, the investigators identified a young person as a suspect. A preliminary investigation into dangerous bodily harm was directed against the girl, the police said on Wednesday. There are currently no indications that she used the pepper spray to defend herself or in an argument, a spokesman said. After the Shrove Monday parade, at least 37 people suffered from a dry cough and red eyes.
