Baden-Württemberg: Dog seriously injured eight-year-olds

Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - A dog bit an eight-year-old in Karlsruhe and seriously injured her. As the police announced on Sunday, the dog is said to have been leashed in front of a supermarket. After the dog owner had released the leash, the dog jumped at the girl on Saturday afternoon and bit the eight-year-old. The dog owner was apparently still talking to the girl. However, when emergency services arrived, he was no longer there. The girl was taken to a hospital. The police are now investigating for negligent bodily harm.
