Bad Rappenau (dpa / lsw) - In a traffic accident after overtaking, four young people were injured near Bad Rappenau (Heilbronn district), some seriously. In a confusing left turn, a 19-year-old driver overtook a vehicle on Friday evening, the police said. Due to an unexpectedly oncoming car, the car skidded and eventually left the road. He crashed into the embankment and rolled over. According to police, there was no contact with either of the other two vehicles. In addition to the 19-year-old, there were also an 18-year-old passenger and two 17-year-olds in the back seat in the accident car.
The two men in the front area were reportedly trapped and had to be freed by the fire department. Both were taken to hospital with serious injuries - the 19-year-old driver by helicopter, the passenger by ambulance. The two girls in the back seats suffered only minor injuries, police said.
