The German had confessed to having killed his grandmother in April of this year while she was of unsound mind. Because he is considered not to be guilty due to a mental illness, it is an application procedure that involves placement in a psychiatric ward.
The man is accused of having killed his grandmother in Achberg (Ravensburg district) with a throat cut in front of his mother. The 88-year-old had lived there with her grandson and his parents for more than a year and a half. After the crime, his mother and father held him until the police were able to arrest him without resistance.
