Baden-Württemberg: locked in hardware store: man triggers alarm

Heidelberg (dpa / lsw) - A man was locked in a hardware store in Heidelberg after closing time and triggered the alarm when he tried to leave the store. The 62-year-old had forgotten the time while shopping and did not notice the closure, as the police announced on Sunday. First, the officials drove to the hardware store on Friday evening because several burglar alarms were triggered. However, they found no evidence of a break-in on site. Almost at the same time, the 62-year-old called for help. According to the police, his attempts to leave the hardware store are said to have triggered several motion detectors that activated the alarm.
