Reutlingen (dpa / lsw) - Because of the suspicion of spreading child pornography, investigators examined 29 apartments in the districts of Reutlingen, Esslingen, Tübingen and the Zollernalb district on Thursday. According to information from the public prosecutor's offices in Hechingen, Stuttgart and Tübingen on Friday, the large-scale operation was preceded by information from US security authorities and extensive investigations, including on the Internet. Three dozen suspects, including three women, were identified.
The suspects are between the ages of 16 and 62. They are charged with possessing and distributing images of serious child sexual abuse. According to the announcement, there is probably no connection between them.
More than 70 officers deployed secured extensive evidence. These mainly include smartphones, tablets, notebooks and other data carriers, which are now being evaluated.
