Weil der Stadt (dpa/lsw) - A 36-year-old was critically injured in a roof truss fire in an apartment building in Weil der Stadt (Böblingen district). Five other residents, including two children, were taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said early Monday morning. In addition, property damage of around 500,000 euros was incurred.
The fire did not spread to neighboring buildings or the lower floors of the apartment building in the Merklingen district. According to the information, the house is so badly damaged that it is currently uninhabitable. Accordingly, the fire brigade was on site on Sunday evening with turntable ladder vehicles and over 100 emergency services. The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.
