Mötzingen (dpa / lsw) - Three people were injured when their car collided with a heavy load on the country road 1361 near Mötzingen, one of them seriously. The driver of the car tried to drive past the oncoming convoy despite warnings from a police patrol, the police said on Thursday night. The car collided with the first of the three loaded heavy-duty transporters. The driver was seriously injured. The passenger and the van driver suffered minor injuries.
A police spokesman said it was now necessary to investigate why the driver ignored the instructions of the officials. The highway was closed in both directions during the rescue work.
