Baden-Württemberg: Two seniors walk on the tracks: the S-Bahn must brake in an emergency

Lörrach (dpa / lsw) - Two seniors mistook an S-Bahn line for a hiking trail and thus triggered an emergency braking of a train. According to the federal police, no one was injured in the incident on Wednesday. The man and the woman, aged 82, said they went on a hike on the Tüllinger Berg. The hiking trail would have ended directly at the tracks of the garden railway and they would have continued the path along the tracks. The federal police initiated criminal proceedings on suspicion of dangerous intervention in rail traffic.
