Aachen/Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) - After the cup was thrown during the canceled game in the soccer regional league west between Alemannia Aachen and the second team from Borussia Mönchengladbach, the game was scored 2-0 for the guests. This was decided by the sports court of the West German Football Association (WDFV) on Friday, chaired by Georg Schierholz (Westphalia).

The match at Aachen's Tivoli on 9 October was called off by referee Jörn Schäfer in the 88th minute when Borussia was 1-0 after a hard plastic drink cup had been thrown at the assistant referee from among the spectators. According to the association's announcement, it was a named Alemannia supporter from the family block, video recordings would have confirmed this. The assistant referee is said to have been hit in the back of the head and suffered a head injury.
