Baden-Württemberg: Ulm brings Christians from Hamburg – Philipps goes

Ulm (dpa / lsw) - Bundesliga basketball club ratiopharm Ulm has signed Robin Christen from the Hamburg Towers. The 31-year-old signed a two-year contract, the club announced on Friday. The 23-year-old winger Christoph Philipps will leave the club.

Christen, who moved to Hamburg from SC Rasta Vechta in Lower Saxony before the 2021/22 season, is set to play a key role in Ulm. "He is a variable forward who has made impressive development steps in recent years and can now support and positively influence a team in many ways. With his individual qualities, his friendly nature and his professional way of working, he will help shape the new team," said Ulm's sporting director Thorsten Leibenath on the newcomer, who was nominated for the German national team for the first time in February.
