Baden-Württemberg: Unknown triggers fire alarm: Tunnel blocked

Wangen im Allgäu (dpa / lsw) - An unknown person triggered the fire alarm in the tunnel on Autobahn 96 - the tunnel then automatically blocked itself completely. According to the police, the emergency services did not find a fire early Thursday morning, but found a fire alarm that had been smashed. The traces of the fire alarm at the exit of the tunnel near Wangen im Allgäu (Ravensburg district) are still being evaluated, it said. Due to the complete closure, traffic in both directions of the A96 came to a standstill. The closure was lifted after about an hour and a half.
