Bad Tölz (dpa / lby) - After a house caught fire in Upper Bavaria, an 87-year-old died. The man succumbed to his injuries in a hospital on Wednesday, the police said on Thursday. So far, the investigators had assumed that the man accidentally caused the fire in Bad Tölz (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district) on November 25, said a police spokesman. The 87-year-old was seriously injured trying to put out the fire.
Helpers got the man out of the burning house before the rescue workers got there. The 87-year-old was taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter. No other people were reportedly injured in the fire. The police are still investigating the exact cause of the fire.
