Bavaria: At least 17 people injured in the club with pepper spray

Hallstadt (dpa / lby) - A 20-year-old is said to have injured at least 17 guests with a pepper spray in a discotheque in Upper Franconia. The trigger for the incident may be the sexual harassment of a 17-year-old, the police said on Sunday. The slightly drunk man sprayed pepper spray in a club in Hallstadt (Bamberg district) on Saturday night and said he wanted to defend the young woman. Two people then had to be taken to hospitals for outpatient treatment. The young man was aggressive, so the police initially took him into custody. At the police station, the 20-year-old insulted officers and resisted the police's instructions. The man is now being investigated for dangerous bodily harm and resistance to police officers.
