Traunstein (dpa / lby) - wine queen, asparagus queen, milk queen, rose queen, hop queen - around 250 product queens and sovereigns from Germany, Austria and South Tyrol held court in Herrenchiemsee Castle in Upper Bavaria. With a special ship, they set off on Friday afternoon - fittingly in glorious weather - on the occasion of the eighth German Queen's Day in Prien am Chiemsee and drove to Herreninsel. At the meeting co-organized by the Traunsteiner Tagblatt, the festively dressed queens visited the palace and undertook a tour of Lake Chiemsee.
The meeting took place as part of the Traunstein Rose Days, which are expected to attract thousands of visitors to the Upper Bavarian town until Sunday (June 12). On Saturday, among other things, the queens want to take a procession to the town square and to the grounds of the Rose Days before they are received in the Kulturforum Klostergarten. According to the organizers, the Highnesses want to sign autographs on the Maxplatz on Sunday morning.
