Bavaria: car falls down an embankment: 75-year-old dies after an accident

Marktheidenfeld (dpa / lby) - A 75-year-old died in hospital after an accident on Autobahn 3 in Lower Franconia. As a police spokesman reported on Sunday, the senior came off the road near Marktheidenfeld (Main-Spessart district) for initially unclear reasons and drove several hundred meters in the green strip. The car then fell down an embankment about three meters deep. First responders treated the seriously injured man. An ambulance took him to a hospital, where he died shortly afterwards. A medical emergency as the cause of the accident cannot currently be ruled out, a police spokesman said.
