Tapfheim (dpa/lby) - A couple caught thieves known to the police during a burglary on a walk in Swabia. The 61-year-old walker noticed a woman in Tapfheim (Donau-Ries district) who was staying in an unoccupied house. He then knocked on a window, after which the woman and her accomplice left the house, the police said on Saturday. The two walkers held the 35-year-old and the 44-year-old until the police officers arrived on Friday.
According to the information, the thief duo pried open the door of the house and stole a stamp collection worth 2,500 euros. Burglary tools and a small amount of narcotics were also found on the perpetrators' premises. The thieves have already appeared several times because of burglaries, it said.
