The "crime scene" in the quick check: damned freaks

Anyone who enjoyed the exorcist "crime scene" two weeks ago may also enjoy "Leben Tod Ekstasy". But be warned: Even in wild Frankfurt, things have never been so psychedelic and psycholytic.

What is happening?

dr Adrian Goser (Martin Wuttke) has gathered his therapy group around him, everything is set up for a neat psycholysis session. The setting is noble, the villa is a dream, there is champagne with a shot. But the self-discovery trip turns into a nightmare, and a short time later those present go completely nuts and are literally ridden with insanity. In the end, everyone is dead - except for Doc Goser.

Janneke (Margarita Broich) and Brix (Wolfram Koch) were just having a beer at Fanny's counter, now they are in a bizarre battlefield that poses a mystery. dr A little later, Goser made himself comfortable in custody, keeps a little bird as a pet and recites Rilke. However, not much more useful can be gleaned from him, especially not when his lawyer Isabelle von Kanis (Uisenma Borchu) intervenes.

In flashbacks you finally get to know Ellen Jensen (Aenne Schwarz), who is carrying a tragic secret and tries to suppress it with cuts, shackles and coke. And the ex-Bundi Syd (Frederick von Lüttichau), who has carried away some psychological problems from his time in the army. Does he have anything to do with the dead? Or maybe the mentally fragile John (Pit Bukowski), a cloud cuckoo inmate with rampant delusions?

What is it really about?

Well ... among other things, the best films by Arnold Schwarzenegger. What does that have to do with the summary above? Find out!

Zapp-Moment?

Actually, the psycho trip at the beginning is just a single request to grab a good book, the "Inspector Barnaby" box set or a bottle of Klosterfrau lemon balm spirit. At the same time, it also arouses curiosity about what else life, death and ecstasy have to offer. Anyone who misses the jump here still has ample opportunity to zap in the following 85 minutes. And if you like it, stay tuned.

Wow-Factor?

The chutzpah with which director and screenplay co-author Nikias Chryssos brings his "Tatort" debut over the ramp wrests respect. The fun in the madness is noticeable to those involved, from the crazy Syd to the beautiful Ellen to the shot Dr. Goser. The image composition is hallucinogenic, the score atmospheric, even if the viewer loses the dramaturgical thread after about an hour. There aren't drugs involved, are there?

How was it?

Everything from 0 to 10 - A "crime scene" that will divide minds so that it just cracks. For every "And I pay GEZ for that" one euro and you could buy the villa from the film
