Bavaria: Cyclist is hit by trucks and dies

Weidenberg (dpa / lby) - A 57-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in an accident with a truck and later died in the hospital. The man drove on a cycle path in Weidenberg in the Bayreuth district on Monday evening, the police said. At an intersection, a 66-year-old truck driver wanted to turn off, but missed the cyclist and caught him. The cyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. According to a police spokesman, resuscitation was unsuccessful and the man died.
