Bavaria: Doctors argue about remuneration for work in the test center

Munich (dpa/lby) - 41 doctors who took corona smears in the municipal test center in Munich have been chasing their money since spring. Together they billed a good 216,000 euros for a total of 1543 hours of work, as can be seen from a city council request to health officer Beatrix Zurek (SPD). But the city and the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVB) are arguing about who has to pay the amount.

For a long time, this was clearly regulated: the doctors billed hourly flat rates at the KVB - 130 euros during the week, 160 euros at the weekend. But the Bavarian test regulation expired in March. Nevertheless, the KVB also assigned panel doctors to work in the municipal test center between April and mid-May. According to the city, based on information from the KVB, they assumed that the city of Munich would now pay for their assignment.

But from the point of view of the health department, the legal situation is clear: the city is not allowed to assume the costs at all. On the other hand, it is still possible to bill the doctors directly to the KVB on the basis of the test regulation.

When asked on Friday, the KVB did not want to comment on this, citing the ongoing proceedings. But one is "still interested in a clarification regarding the bearing of the costs". An analogous constellation in other cities is not known.
