Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - After being sentenced to ten years in prison for dangerous bodily harm and sexual offenses, a 42-year-old man has appealed to the Federal Court of Justice. This was confirmed by the Frankfurt Regional Court on Friday. According to the verdict of December 21, the accused had repeatedly severely abused and sexually assaulted his elderly partner. In September 2021, he broke several ribs in the 63-year-old after having sex in a hotel room in Frankfurt-Bockenheim and then simply left them lying there.
The man was originally charged with attempted manslaughter before the Assize Court. However, after several days of negotiations, the court and public prosecutor's office assumed that he would withdraw from the attempted manslaughter. When leaving the room, the man could have counted on the victim surviving. While the public prosecutor's office nevertheless demanded more than eleven years in prison for him, the defense pleaded for five years in prison. The accused admitted some of the allegations in court.
