Neustadt near Coburg (dpa / lby) - A fire in an apartment building in Neustadt near Coburg triggered a large-scale operation. One man was injured, according to police. While the fire was still being put out early on Saturday morning, a 28-year-old resident reported and stated that he had intentionally set the fire, the public prosecutor and the police said.
Around 100 emergency services from the local fire brigade, the rescue service, the technical relief organization and the police were on site. A 49-year-old resident suffered mild smoke inhalation and received medical attention. The house suffered property damage of 150,000 euros. At the request of the Coburg public prosecutor's office, an investigating judge issued a pre-trial arrest warrant.
